Suzanne Hayes Becomes CHID Certified!
Facet would like to extend our congratulations to our Senior Architect, Suzanne Hayes, on becoming a Certified Health Interior Designer (CHID) through the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID). She is officially the third CHID certified architect in the entire St. Louis area, and we couldn’t be prouder of her.
The Certified Health Interior Designer (CHID) credential means that a person has become distinguished and qualified by their education, examination, and work experience to practice healthcare interior design. To be eligible to take the exam, one must have 3 years of experience in healthcare interior design/healthcare architecture and to have passed the NCIDQ or the NCARB exams.
“Just qualifying to take the exam felt like an accomplishment. Having now passed this exam, I feel even more inspired and confident about the future of Healthcare interior design and the influence I can have,” said Suzanne Hayes, AIA, NCARB, CHID.
Suzanne Hayes received her Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Tulane University and has been in the architectural design industry for over 17 years. She has spent the last 5+ years focusing on healthcare architecture with an emphasis on Interiors. Suzanne is currently working to establish relationships with clients in the healthcare industry and expand our company’s healthcare division.
“This new certification will open more opportunities for me to pursue this passion. As a Certified Health Interior Designer (CHID), I can positively impact the health, quality, and safety of the interior environment for those utilizing HC facilities through a better understanding of issues that impact patients, residents, family member and healthcare providers. This credential assures healthcare providers that I possess the knowledge and experience to creatively innovate and address the challenges they face” Suzanne tells us.
We are so happy for Suzanne Hayes’ incredible accomplishment and are looking forward to her continued success!
